Good news bad news

Fuck!!!
I just found out that I have to go home to Sweden in about 3.5 months - or that my contract ends then that is.

The good news is that I know when something will happened. The bad news is that it will happened at all.
I don't know what to think or feel about it...or why I'm telling you.

Now it really feels like I'm wasting a month i Australia - Time that I could have had here in Chicago instead. The timing sucks! Maybe it always does but never less on behalf of whats been going on lately it's even worse.

On Time?

Well we just have to see about that don’t we. The flight never leave in time at O’Hare so why should it now.
So if you couldn’t figure it out I’m at the airport on the way to Las Vegas where I’m going to meet up with Amy, Emma, Paul, James and a lot of drinks. I hope Elvis will come by and sing a little hymn at my upcoming 4am wedding (just need to find a girl first to marry first though…;-).

Take care boys and girls

Summary

Hey! What did you say? What I’ve been up to lately..?
Well, let me show you:

Tobias was here and we had a blast. I showed him around the city, took him to all the places you need to see (that I know of so far) and were out partying. This was at a random street corner festival at Lincoln/Belmont together with Michelle and her friends. We acted like celebrities and were called Dane Cook, Justin Timberlake and Chris Martin. :-)

1) Tobias & Michelle. 2) Some girl looking like a Swedish model with Tobias' hat.
3) Me & Michelle posing. 4) Breakfast at our local diner the day after.

A lot of TAT’ers have been here as well. Amy, Daniel, James and Paul flew in from San Diego and Sweden fore some meetings. Amy was nice to rake up the garden during a brake.

I joined Dave and Danielle at a gay-club (no pictures due to obvious reasons) after dinner and beers with some of Daniel friends – one of them was Thomas, head of Swedish Trade Council, that we actually met the first week here in Chicago by other business. Small world! The club was crazy though. I wonder how many offers you can get on one night..?

Me, Daniel and Eric played golf at Arrowhead Golf Club. I did terrible but I my surf-tan got better.

And then we have been working of course. Daniel is out in the rain trying to get a reception on a call to Sweden. - You can only speak right next to the window otherwise.

Yeah, that was about it. Next weekend I’m going to Las Vegas. Hopefully I will not have any official pictures afterwards.

Sleep tight! I know i will.

What time is it? It’s Boss-time!!!

I’ve been home in Malmö, seen Jack getting married, celebrating midsummer, petting Chess, eaten kebab-pizza, meeting my friends, drinking a lot of beer and seen a Bruce Springsteen concert in Copenhagen.
I don’t know what he does or how he does it. It’s just crazy, amazing and life lifting to see a Bruce Springsteen concert. Anton Berg said on the Ullevi concert in 2003 that “if everybody in the world would go on a Bruce concert there would be world peace” and I agree. The smile on everybody’s faces when they leave the stadium speaks by itself.
I must say that Mary's Place was the absolute favorite!

Now I’m back home in Chicago trying to adapt again. Johan and Morgan is on vacation in California at her parents, chilling I guess, while I’m taking care of the house. It’s nice being alone…or was for a while. Now it’s getting a bit boring.
I went out running the other day just to do something but it hurt so much. It was the longest so far and definitely the most painful one as well. I got cramp after only five minutes and felt noxious almost all the time. Damn! I want to feel like getting out again but it’s hard after that run.

Tobias is coming to visit this weekend by the way. Guess we’re going to catch up, drinking beer and chillaxin. It’s going to be great to show a bit of my new life. There’ some other co-workers coming some days later so it’s going to be crowded in here which is nice for a change.

Welcome everyone!

Update:
Added some photos from the happenings.

Run, Run, Run

My mind is troubled. It feels like something is missing all the time, everywhere. I hate not knowing what it is. I can guess but as soon as I think I figured it out something else arise. Everything is as it should but at the same time twisted around and turned inside out.

I was at Teckla tonight for some mud-cake and coffee which was really nice. I was glad to be there but absent at the same time. (Sorry about that, friends!) My mind was tired but my body restless so I had to go home and get out running. If I keep this mood up I might be ready for Chicago marathon any given time now. ;-) No, it’s not that bad. I’m just out of focus.
Eric came to Malmö today and it brought my worlds together a bit actually. It gave me more energy and reminded me where I came from – a surreal and hectic life in Chicago - which actually exists...

I promised to write something about New York the last post. I don’t know if it more to mention that it’s big. No, huge! Need to go there with someone else to share it with. I was glad to meet Chana there at the conference who showed me around the first night. Now I got a Jewish friend in New York which is pretty cool. I think! Thank you Chana!

A little video clip that I thought of when I was out running tonight:

You might have thought it would be “Born To Run” but nooo… Since I was out at Bulltofta where mr Stääv and the rest of the members plays frisbee golf I couldn’t get this song out of my head.

PS. Thank you Amy for showing me the clips of Robban falling of the table and putting the table on fire. LoL :)

Surfs up, dude!

Whole TAT US was out surfing today. It was great even though I got a cold going on that I was a little concerned about. I even managed to do some shopping. Now I don’t know how to get all my stuff back home to Chicago since I only brought my cabin bag.
Next week is going to be really interesting. Both Charlotta and Marcus are coming to visit Chicago for some meetings and then I’m off to New York to speak at a conference. I’m actually really nerves about it all since it’s my first time in NY and first time to speak on an event like this (or about a topic that I haven’t read that much about). I keep on telling me that it can’t be that bad since it’s only about twenty minutes long and most often I speak for days when I have my workshops How hard could it be? (I must feel like you do sometimes Ebba.)

On the way to down to the waves.

Daniel and I are cheeking out the best waves

Charlotta seemed to enjoy it.

We went to In-N-Out Burger with a really strict menu after surfing.

Daniel ordered coffee in a mature way. I wonder who's idea it was? :)

Sunny in San Diego

I'm in San Diego now for the TAT US event.
The flight yesterday was terrible. I had to wait for 3.5h before we could leave O'Hare. Apparently the pilots were late because of some delays in New York so you could see the plain all the time which was just frustrating and annoying. I tried to stay positive but it was hard when I also had the worst burger ever on the airport.
Any how... It all worked out in the end and I finally got here so today I work some in the new SD office close to the beach and even get my first tan this summer during lunch. I will try to work on it a bit more tomorrow. :)

Tonight me and Amelie was out for a couple of drinks with her friends. - Or I did since Amy is going to run San Diego Marathon on Sunday. It was nice to actually meet the people you hear about and see on pictures on Facebook. Unfortunately I don't think I was that much fun since I was dead tired even before we went out.

Now I need to power down and get some sleep.
Hej då

Rock Band

May I present Ola on vocal, Daniel on guitar and Johan on drums.

Awesome!!! A couple of more songs and a few more beers and we'll be
just as a real rock band.
